MIDILLI Gait is a next-generation MIDI foot controller designed for musicians, performers, and studio professionals who demand flexibility, power, and connectivity in a compact form.
⚙️ Hardware Features
3 Footswitches (A, B, C): Fully programmable for MIDI Note, CC, PC, RPN, NRPN, static and dynamic SysEx commands. Ideal for triggering effects, patches, automations, or even generating your own MIDI clock.
Each foot switch can also be programmed to change banks. You can have over 30 banks. Bank change can also be automated and combined with MIDI message types.
2 Expression Pedal Inputs: Supports full MIDI expression including CC, NRPN/RPN, PC, and can convert incoming CC data into dynamic SysEx messages for advanced control setups.
2 Rotary Encoders (Knobs): Assignable to any MIDI parameter—perfect for real-time tweaking of synth or effect parameters.
MIDI Connectivity:
- DIN MIDI Out: Standard 5-pin output for legacy gear.
- DIN MIDI In: Accepts MIDI messages from other controllers or instruments.
- DIN MIDI Thru: Passes incoming MIDI to other devices seamlessly.

🎛️ Control Capabilities
Every component—footswitches, knobs, and expression inputs—can send:
- Note On/Off
- Control Change (CC)
- RPN/NRPN
- Program Change (PC)
- Static and Dynamic SysEx
- CC to SysEx Mapping: Convert standard CC messages into customizable SysEx on the fly.
They can also be used for bank up/down or to go to a specific bank. Each bank can individually be programmed and combined with automation.
⏱️ Clock & Tempo Control
In addition to standard MIDI messages, Gait’s footswitches can also send MIDI Clock signals, enabling synchronization with external gear. You can:
- Use a footswitch as a tap tempo input to manually set the tempo in real time.
- Generate and automate MIDI Clock pulses as part of a performance setup—ideal for live looping, arpeggiators, and synced effects.
This gives you complete tempo control from your feet, whether you’re leading a session or integrating into a larger rig.
MIDI Routing
- Forward incoming MIDI messages between MIDI Out, USB MIDI, and Bluetooth MIDI
- Enable or disable interfaces for forwarding
- Select which message types (e.g., Note, Clock, SysEx) to forward
- Select which channels to forward.
Plug & Play
- No drivers required! Works out of the box with macOS, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS*
- Powered via USB-C with low power consumption.
