We're rolling out LumiFind 1.5, featuring smarter search, a brand-new "Find Related Files"'" experience, and the ability to search using files as queries. This release also introduces flexible export options, upgrades to Python 3.14, and includes several dependency refreshes for improved security and stability.

Search using a selected file

Pick any file in your index and ask LumiFind to find more like this. The selected file's content is used as the search query, allowing you to discover documents that share similar meaning, structure, or topics without typing a single keyword.

You can also add your own keywords to further narrow or refine the results.

Need to find a video that mentions a specific document? Just upload the text file, and search for videos, voice recordings, and other files that contain or relate to its contents.

Depending on the file type, the search may take a little longer, especially when searching with larger files such as videos. If you change your mind, you can stop the search at any time with the new Stop Search button.

Find Related Files

The new Show Related Files dialog makes discovering similar content easier than ever. Select a file from your search results and click Show Related Files to instantly display similar files of the same type.

Took a photo at the pool? LumiFind can help you find the other pool photos in your collection. You can adjust the number of displayed results, and simply double-click any related file to continue exploring even further.

Multi-model search

You can now search across multiple embedding models at the same time and combine their results. Instead of relying on a single model, LumiFind blends signals from the models you trust, making searches more effective for collections that mix technical documents, creative writing, images, transcripts, and other content.

Exporting Search Results

You can now export the search results and save them as TXT, CSV (Comma-Separated Values), or an HTML file. It is nice to share what you've found.

Updating to LumiFind 1.5 refreshes the application's dependencies, so the first launch may take a little longer than usual.
